Which does it take more of you think to face pain and suffering? Courage or humility? Courage, the overcoming of fear, or humility, the submission of pride?

Humility surrenders.
Courage transcends.

I think you need both to endure suffering—the courage to face it and the humility to withstand it.

Love is a kind of long suffering we endure. The most prolonged suffering that needs just that: courage and humility. Courage to be vulnerable in the face of potential wounds. Humility to stand in the face of pride and remain in the connection to one another.

"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another." (John 13:34 NKJV)
